Laboratory Accreditation

The accreditation process of the Research, Technological Development and Innovation Laboratories of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz) is carried out every six years and is evaluated by an external committee made up of renowned specialists in national research. The accreditation, adopted in the IOC since the 1990s, it has been inspired by the French model for analyzing research institutes.

Its objective is to evaluate the performance of the laboratory in the last quadrennium, based on criteria related to the team, scientific production, guidance of graduate students, among others.
