Student Guide

Check out the 2025 edition of the Student Guide. The goal of this Guide is to integrate each student into the Oswaldo Cruz Institute community (IOC/Fiocruz) and the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation campus (Fiocruz) as a way to better welcome them when they enter the Institute.

In this edition, in addition to having the opportunity to know a little more about the History of IOC, take a nice tour of the Biological Collections and the areas of Research, Development and Innovation in which the Institute operates, you will be aware of the academic responsibilities, such as the student's rights and duties; of the benefits that IOC offers its students; information related to the responsible use of generative Artificial Intelligences (AIs) and the choice of the vehicle for publishing a scientific article; and much more.

And for greater comfort and convenience, this Guide also includes a map with information on the location of all teaching areas of the IOC and other relevant aspects, such as bus stops, restaurants, banking network, taxi cooperative, etc.

The Oswaldo Cruz Institute welcomes each student, as it is proud of its mission in training talented masters, doctors, specialists and researchers, in the certainty that young scientists will be able to contribute a lot to the development of Brazilian science and health.
