Saúde 360: infographic teaches how to control Aedes aegypti to reduce the transmission of dengue, Zika and chikungunya

Check out graphic material with information about mosquito biology and guidance on how to identify and eliminate breeding sites

In response to the high incidence of dengue cases in Brazil in 2024, the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz) developed a didactic infographic that presents relevant information about the mosquito Aedes aegypti.

By interrupting the Aedes life cycle by identifying and removing places with stagnant water, where it lays eggs and reproduces, it is possible to reduce the transmission of arboviruses, such as dengue, Zika and chikungunya.

The graphic material highlights the strategy developed by experts from the IOC to contain the proliferation of mosquitoes, which involves weekly inspections lasting just 10 minutes.
