SIGA - Integrated Academic Management System
Online system that allows the monitoring of history and concepts, as well as enrollment in disciplines. The SIGA password is initially generated by SEAC and informed to the student by the registered email. It is recommended that this temporary password be changed immediately. In case of forgetting the password, the student must contact the Graduate Program Office.
Access: http://www.siga.fiocruz.br

Renewal of enrollment and enrollment in disciplines
Each semester, the student must be aware of the deadlines for the registration period in disciplines, which are communicated by SEAC via registered email. Enrollment in disciplines, carried out through SIGA, is the student's sole responsibility, and must be guided by the course curriculum and the advisor's indications, respecting the deadlines of the academic calendar. When enrolling in the subjects of the period, the student automatically renews his enrollment. In technical specialization and technical level courses, enrollment renewal is automatic and it is not necessary to register for disciplines.
ATTENTION: Some disciplines have prerequisites and criteria to be taken. Therefore, before registration, it is essential to check the information on the menu of each one.

biosecurity
The Online Course on Quality, Biosafety and Environment (QBA Online) is a mandatory condition for the admission of professionals, scholarship holders and students of all modalities to the Institute. Upon registration, registration in the Course is carried out automatically, generating an access link for the student, through the email initially registered with the registration process. It is mandatory to deliver the certificate of the QBA Online course to SEAC, generated by email, signed by the advisor. Delivery is a mandatory condition for withdrawal of the institutional badge.

Institutional badge and pavilion access badge
For circulation within the premises of the IOC and from Fiocruz, it is mandatory to use the institutional badge for the purpose of identifying professionals, scholarship holders and students of all modalities. In addition, as part of its Quality actions, the IOC has an access control system to its buildings, using a specific badge, equipped with an electronic chip for identification of traffic. The student must always have both badges, the request for which is made automatically at the time of enrollment, and it is up to the student to collect them at SEAC. Access in www.sigass.fiocruz.br.

Student ID
O IOC does not provide a student card for all types of Education. To prove academic relationship, the student must request a declaration of enrollment at the Academic Secretariat via email: serviceseac@ioc.fiocruz.br

Institutional email
The student, upon entering the IOC, receives, after enrollment, an institutional email created by the Information Technology Department (DETIN/IOC). The student is notified of the new account by means of a message sent to the registered email when registering. Once this account is opened, all communications between the Institute and the student are no longer made by the email registered at the time of registration and are made through the institutional address. The institutional email can be accessed at the address www.ioc.fiocruz.br/webmail or through the website of IOC.

Frequency and evaluation
The evaluation of student activities and the rules regarding the minimum frequency in each subject are described in the internal regulations of each Teaching Program.

Scheduling Defenses - Theses, dissertations and monographs
After the regulatory period for completing the course has elapsed, the student must request the Reservations Sector (SRV), 60 days in advance, to pre-schedule a place for his/her defense, through the electronic address reservation teaching @ioc.fiocruz.br. The reservation will be made upon presentation of the Scheduling Form and the documentation required in the internal regulations of each graduate (available on the Program websites). In case of need to extend the deadline, the student must present a justification to the Program Secretary for consultation with the Program Coordination, which will assess the situation.

copy quota
On the initiative of the Vice-Director of Education, Information and Communication, the students of IOC are entitled to a half-yearly quota of 150 copies in the Manguinhos Library.(locate yourself on the map) The quota is authorized by SEAC and can be requested by email serviceseac@ioc.fiocruz.br.

It is mandatory to deliver to SEAC a printed copy of the dissertation or thesis (in spiral), the digital version recorded on CD and the Term of Authorization for Publication of Theses and Dissertations. The copy will be deposited at the Manguinhos Library.

The initiative offers courses for undergraduate students, with classes taught by doctoral and IOC under the supervision of professors from the Graduate Programs. This interaction encourages the exercise of teaching and, at the same time, introduces young graduates to the scientific environment. Between 2007 and 2018, the courses received more than 1.800 students from several Brazilian states.
