Graduation ceremony, student meeting and debates on education and inclusion marked the program of the Opening Week of the 2026 Academic Year at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz), held on March 9, 10 and 13.
The activities took place on the F campus.iocruz, in Manguinhos (RJ), with transmission by channel IOC on Youtube, and they were part of the beginning of the commemorative actions of the 5th act of Secular Silver Jubilee of IOC.
On March 9th, the graduation ceremony brought together more than 100 masters and doctoral graduates from the Institute's Postgraduate Programs and marked the launch of the Alumni Project, an initiative aimed at connecting alumni.
On March 10th, the III Meeting of Student Representatives of IOC It fostered a space for interaction and alignment among students involved in academic representation.
Closing the program, on March 13th, the official opening of the Academic Year discussed the challenges for building a more inclusive postgraduate program, highlighting the debate on decoloniality and the presentation of institutional initiatives to welcome and support students.
