Between the 11th and 15th of November, the '2nd Advanced Course on Mucosal Immunology' and the '3rd Latin-American Mucosal Immunology Group Symposium' will take place (in free translation, 2nd Advanced Course on Mucosal Immunology and 3rd Symposium of the Latin-American Group on Mucosal Immunology). The course is organized by the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz), Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Translational Research Program in Mucosa of Fiocruz (Mucosal Fio) and the Latin American Mucosal Immunology Group.
Lectures and discussions are planned with participants from different national and foreign institutions, as well as oral and poster presentations.
Among the topics are basic concepts about the immune system associated with mucosa, interactions with microorganisms, regulation of immune responses and advances in research on mucosal immunology.
Teachers from the Postgraduate Program are part of the program Strict sensu em Cellular and Molecular Biology do IOC.
The meetings on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th take place in the Maria Deane Auditorium, on Campus Fiocruz in Rio de Janeiro (Av. Brasil - 4365 - Rio de Janeiro). UFRJ hosts the activities on the 15th on the Cidade Universitária campus, also in Rio de Janeiro.
Interested parties must register by June 3rd on the event page on Virtual Campus Fiocruzi. Submission of abstracts is through form provided by the course organization. No registration fee will be charged (corn informações).
