Live: Center for Advanced Studies discusses international instability.

The session brings together ambassadors, journalists, and scientists to discuss challenges to the global order in the 21st century, this Wednesday, starting at 2 PM.

Nesta quarta-feira, 15 de abril, o Advanced Studies Center (NEA) from the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz) debate o tema ‘Ruptura jurídica, instabilidade internacional e fratura da soberania: desafios à ordem global no século XXI’.  

Acompanhe a transmissão ao vivo pelo channel IOC no Youtube, a partir de 14h.

O evento online conta com quatro palestrantes, além da participação especial, em vídeo, do embaixador Celso Amorim, assessor-chefe da Assessoria Especial do Presidente da República.

Participating in the panel:

  • Carla Jimenez, journalist, former editor-in-chief and managing editor of the newspaper El País Brasil;

  • Christian Lynch, political scientist, professor at the Institute of Social and Political Studies of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (Uerj); 

  • Francilene Garcia, computer scientist, president of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC) and professor at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG); 

  • Rubens Ricupero, former Minister of Finance and Environment, former Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and former Brazilian Ambassador to the United States and Italy. 

The Center for Advanced Studies at the IOC This is part of the Brazilian Forum for Advanced Studies (Fobreav). The activity is coordinated by Renato Cordeiro, emeritus researcher at Fiocroz.
