The Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz) participated in the public hearing held this Wednesday, 25/10, at the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj) to debate the vaccination scenario and honor 50 years of the National Immunization Program (PNI).
The chief of staff of the IOC, Daniel Daipert, represented the unit at the event and highlighted the importance of joining forces to reverse the decline in vaccination coverage.
“It is not coherent to have, in 2023, diseases that can be prevented by vaccines. This challenge requires effective and collective commitment. I place our Institute, which has 123 years of dedicated service to the population, at your disposal for this endeavor”, said Daniel, remembering that the IOC has already been working on initiatives on the subject with the Ministry of Health.
