The Leopoldo de Meis National Network for Education and Science (RNEC), of which two initiatives of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz) are part of it, and was recognized with the SDG Education 2025 Seal.
The certification recognizes good practices in education with social impact and initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda.
The recognition was granted during a national event held on March 17th and 18th in Recife (PE). In total, 25 initiatives from the network were approved, with a social impact on more than 4,3 people.

O IOC It is represented by the projects "Science on the Road: Education and Citizenship" and "Chagas Express XXI," which work in scientific dissemination and the promotion of health education.
Created in 1985 at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), RNEC currently brings together 39 groups of teaching and research institutions distributed across 11 Brazilian states. The network develops innovative methodologies for science education through initiatives such as experimental courses and internships.
O IOC It has participated in RNEC since its creation, reinforcing institutional action in science education projects and collaborative networking.
