Due to the risk of leptospirosis infection in the floods that are occurring in Rio Grande do Sul, the IOC developed graphic teaching material that presents relevant information about the disease and how to avoid it. 

After the floodwaters have drained, it is important that environments and objects are cleaned correctly to avoid infection by the bacteria. leptospira.  

The material is validated by National Reference Laboratory for Leptospirosis and Leptospira Collection, both linked to the Laboratory of Bacterial Zoonoses do IOC.
