The Postgraduate Programs at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz) are inseparable from the research produced at the Unit. Teaching and science go hand in hand; after all, the training of masters and doctors takes place in the same laboratories that develop knowledge and solutions for public health.

The prestige of the students who are the present and future of national science and health was highlighted in the 11th edition of the Postgraduate Week of IOC, held between the 15th and 19th of September, in the auditorium of the Arthur Neiva Pavilion, on the F campusiocruz, in Manguinhos (RJ).
The 2025 edition broke registration records, with more than 420 applicants from 14 states.
Topics such as internationalization, climate change, education, extension, innovation and employability comprised the program.
Between lectures, scientific panels and awards, the event sought to facilitate the interaction of participants with partners from the academic and professional fields, aiming at the exchange and construction of new knowledge regarding the themes.
Highlights include the Jornada Jovens Talentos (Young Talents Day), which showcased the scientific production of students from various research and teaching institutions, and the Prêmio IOC of Theses Alexandre Peixoto, who recognized the research nominated for the Capes Thesis Prize for Postgraduate Programs Strict sensu of the Institute.
