Five days of lectures, round tables and other meetings aimed at students and faculty of the Postgraduate Programs at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz). This was the vast program of the Opening Week of the Academic Year 2025 of IOC, held from March 24 to 28.
The activities were held in the Emmanuel Dias auditorium, in the Arthur Neiva Pavilion, in Manguinhos, and were broadcast on channel IOC on Youtube.
On Monday (24), there was the launch of the Student Guide 2025. The document is updated annually and aims to integrate students into the Institute's academic and scientific community.
On Tuesday (25), the debates focused on the consequences and challenges of Law 14.874/2024, which discusses ethics in research with human beings.
On Wednesday (26), the central theme of the discussions was the mental health of postgraduate students and good practices for a healthy academic environment.
On Thursday (27), the reflection was around hybrid teaching and its systematization after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Finally, on Friday (28), the concept of 'Citizen Science' was highlighted, with examples of projects in which the participation of the population is essential for scientific production.
