The Postdoctoral Program at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/Fiocruz) corresponds to a cooperation and updating activity, with the objective of allowing the temporary stay of researchers in search of consolidation and updating of scientific knowledge and/or reorientation of the current line of research.

The link with the Institute takes place via research groups with a recognized level of excellence in the postdoctoral area of ​​interest. The internship period lasts up to 12 months, with an extension of up to 60 months allowed (in the case of a candidate without a scholarship). The payment of a postdoctoral scholarship by the IOC with treasury resources.
