Covid-19 Technological Showcase

The Vice-Director of Research, Technological Development and Innovation of Instituto Oswaldo Cruz (IOC/Fiocruz), through the Technological Innovation Center (NIT), linked to Research and Innovation Support Platform (PAPI), seeks to subsidize the implementation of partnerships to generate innovative products and processes based on projects under development at the Institute around the new coronavirus.

Of strategic importance, the 'Technological Showcase in Covid-19 of Instituto Oswaldo Cruz' gives visibility to innovations that contribute to responses to the public health emergency caused by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

Created in 2014, the Research and Innovation Support Platform of the IOC has expertise in managing Research, Development and Innovation activities, seeking excellence in the management of the Institute's projects. Through the NIT, it also seeks to contribute to the expansion of the impact of the research developed in the IOC through the development of partnerships and actions that stimulate innovation for the benefit of the quality of life of the Brazilian population.

The Technological Showcase IOC is the result of the maturing of ideas to foster innovation in the IOC and counted on the union of several institutional bodies, such as the Board of Directors, the Research Vice-Director, the Research and Innovation Support Platform, the Technological Innovation Nucleus, the Journalism and Communication Service and the Information Technology Department.
