In Memoriam

From 1995 to 2016, the Seminários Laveran & Deane did a lot of conquests, while analyzing 268 MSc or PhD projects with the help of 235 participations of 106 Senior Researchers.

However, sadly, we also had some heavy defeats. We lost some very good allied, brave combatants. Professors Henrique Leonel Lenzi (1943- 2011), Alexandre Afranio Peixoto (1963-2013), Pierre Ambroise Thomas (1937-2014), Maurício Martins Rodrigues (1963-2015) and Luiz Carlos de Lima Silveira (1952-2016) left us much before the regular time for the exceptional stars they were as bright scientists and passionate human beings. They were at the height of their intellectual activity at the forefront of the research on the field of their research. They were all science lovers that contributed unequivocally to the warm ambiance and the scientific level of the Seminários.

Here we present a brief biosketch, as well as the presentation that a close friends and customary collaborator did about each one of them.
